This role will support Women's Health, Pediatrics and Lab. Hours can vary from 6:45am-5:30pm Mon-Fri and occasional Saturday rotation 7:45am-12pm. The Patient Service Representative Float will greet patients and visitors, answer the telephone, screen calls, and take messages. They will register patients, obtain demographic and insurance information, verify insurance coverage, collect co-pays, deductibles, and previous balances, post payments, and update demographic and insurance information. This role also involves scheduling patient appointments, coordinating cancellations, reschedules, and additions to schedules, and providing accurate information regarding test preparations and arrival times. The representative will update insurance and financial responsibility data, ensure information is complete and accurate, and identify, report, and resolve registration problems. They will monitor patient flow, offer assistance to patients, and perform visit closure tasks including checking out patients, scheduling follow-up appointments, and providing visit summaries. Additionally, they may file, retrieve, and/or deliver patient information and records, and complete required forms.
