The Patient Service Representative will register or pre-register all scheduled patients for admission, partial hospitalization, and outpatient services. This role involves verifying insurance coverage and obtaining necessary authorizations, pre-certifications, and referrals. The representative will coordinate with patients and scheduling departments to reschedule procedures if authorization or patient payment cannot be arranged promptly and will request upfront payment of deposits from the responsible party. They will also update schedules for cancellations, rescheduling, and other changes on an ongoing basis.
