About The Position
Baystate Health, Western Massachusetts’s premier healthcare provider, and home to Baystate Medical Practices, the largest multispecialty group in the region is looking for a Full-time Patient Service Representative to join our experienced Adult Behavioral Health/Neuropsychology team in Springfield , MA.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 6 months in a medical office setting
- Great interpersonal skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Medical terminology
- Keyboard skills
- Microsoft office products
- Schedule systems
- Medical records (electronic and paper)
- Billing knowledge
- Basic math skills
- Language, reading and writing skills
- Customer service skills
Responsibilities
- Greeting patients
- Check in and check out
- Requesting copays
- Verifying insurances
- Answering telephones
- Faxing medical documents
