The Patient Service Representative (PSR) in Pediatrics is responsible for greeting patients and visitors, answering phones, registering patients, verifying insurance, collecting payments, scheduling appointments, and providing patients with necessary information regarding tests and procedures. This role also involves coordinating complex appointments, instructing patients on pre and post-procedure protocols, updating patient information, identifying and resolving registration or authorization issues, monitoring patient flow, and offering assistance to patients. The PSR may also educate staff and providers on insurance requirements and act as a resource for patient services staff, assisting with orientation and training.
