The role supports front office operations by maintaining appointment schedules, providing phone support, screening visitors, and managing the waiting area. Additionally, it involves gathering and coding outpatient charges, processing payments, preparing deposits, and maintaining records. The Patient Service Representative also assists with outpatient coding, error resolution, and managing patient accounts, including collections and payment plans. Confidentiality is paramount, and the role requires a neat and professional appearance, demonstrating a commitment to service and adherence to office guidelines.
