About The Position

The Patient Services Representative, Centralized scheduling is responsible for scheduling initial evaluations for the correct discipline under the correct therapist specialty for 21 locations. This position is to call 120-150 patients a day to schedule their initial evaluation for physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy or cardiac rehabilitation. This position uploads all received referrals daily, around 200 referrals, filters through the correct information to schedule correctly, navigate locations and scheduling with patients, answer incoming calls, respond to voicemails, work with Physician Relations Managers and other misc tasks to correctly schedule patients and obtain all necessary information from referrals sources and patients.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent GED
  • 2 years of medical office experience or have completed an externship with Healthlink in lieu of 2 years of medical experience.
  • Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree from an accredited school or college.
  • Graduate of an Accredited Medical Assisting Program and/or a Certified Medical Assistant
  • 4 years medical office experience
  • Certified Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

  • Calling 120-150 patients a day to schedule their initial evaluation for physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy or cardiac rehabilitation.
  • Uploading all received referrals daily (around 200 referrals).

  • Navigating locations and scheduling with patients.
  • Answering incoming calls.
  • Responding to voicemails.
  • Working with Physician Relations Managers.
  • Performing other miscellaneous tasks to correctly schedule patients.
  • Obtaining all necessary information from referral sources and patients.
