About The Position

This role is for a Patient Service Representative in Cardiology at Heart Midtown in Nashville, TN. The position is full-time, day shift. The representative will champion the patient experience by providing a warm, professional welcome, guiding patients through check-in/out, and ensuring accurate records. They will navigate the care journey by managing schedules, confirming appointments, and handling medical record requests. Financial clarity will be provided by assisting patients with insurance authorizations, precertifications, co-payments, and billing questions. The role also involves ensuring accuracy and flow by submitting daily service charges, reconciling deposits, and providing clerical support to maintain an organized and welcoming environment.

Requirements

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm, professional welcome for every visitor, guiding them through the check-in/out process and ensuring their records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Proactively manage schedules, confirm appointments, and handle medical record requests.
• Assist patients by verifying insurance authorizations and precertifications ahead of time, then help them navigate co-payments and billing questions with transparency and empathy.
• Submit daily service charges, reconcile deposits, and provide essential clerical support.
