About The Position

Patient Representative 3 provides administrative support for patients and clinicians in the outpatient clinic under the supervision of the Practice Director/Supervisor. Key responsibilities include scheduling appointments, handling patient registration, addressing billing inquiries, and providing MyChart support. The role requires exceptional customer service and communication skills to ensure efficient patient care and coordination with healthcare providers. Additionally, the position may involve training new staff and assisting in other departments as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • A minimum of two years' healthcare experience required
  • A minimum of two years' customer service experience is required, preferably within a healthcare environment
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a high volume of telephone calls, with strong follow-through is highly desired
  • Ability to take initiative, learn quickly and actively, and participate as part of an administrative team is also required
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Word and Excel, and Google applications, as well as an ability to learn new programs with ease
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff, volunteers, and the general public
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and be comfortable with people in all stages of health and healing
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain clinic, provider, RN and patient confidentiality

Nice To Haves

  • Three years of experience in automated scheduling in physician office preferred
  • Multi-provider medical office experience is highly desired
  • Experience working with patients and providers, using Epic (electronic health record) preferred
