Patient Service Coordinator- Outpatient Infusion Center
About The Position
Sentara Health is currently seeking a Patient Services Coordinator for their Outpatient Infusion Center in Virginia Beach, VA. This is a full-time, day shift position. As a Patient Services Coordinator, you will coordinate activities for specific physician practices, including insurance verification/obtaining precertification, scheduling, pre-registration, and order transmission (faxing). The primary goal of this role is to ensure maximum reimbursement and minimize denials related to incomplete insurance information and/or authorization. The Patient Services Coordinator will also maintain statistics and serve as a liaison between clinical testing sites and physicians' offices.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Two years of experience in a healthcare environment OR Completion of healthcare related certificate program OR Associate’s Level Degree or higher OR Transferable skills (i.e., One year or more in a call center, customer service, etc.)
- Technology/Computer skills
- Customer Service Orientation
- Microsoft Office proficiency
