Patient Service Coordinator- Outpatient Infusion Center
About The Position
Sentara Health is seeking a Patient Services Coordinator for their Outpatient Infusion Center in Virginia Beach, VA. This is a full-time, day shift position. The Patient Services Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating activities for specific physician practices, including insurance verification, obtaining precertification, scheduling, pre-registration, and order transmission. The primary goal of this role is to ensure maximum reimbursement and minimize claim denials due to incomplete insurance information or lack of authorization. This position also involves maintaining statistics and serving as a liaison between clinical testing sites and physicians' offices.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Two years of experience in a healthcare environment OR Completion of a healthcare-related certificate program OR Associate’s Level Degree or higher OR Transferable skills (i.e., One year or more in a call center, customer service, etc.)
- Technology/Computer skills
- Customer Service Orientation
- Microsoft Office proficiency

Responsibilities
