About The Position

Albany Medical Center is seeking health care employees or entry-level candidates to join their Front Office team as a Patient Service Associate at the EmUrgentCare in Niskayuna. This is a full-time position (36 hours/week) with three 12-hour shifts, requiring the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team. The role is based at the Niskayuna location and may involve some reimbursable travel.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• No experience required.
• Excellent customer service skills preferred
• Experience using an electronic health record and Microsoft Office a plus!

Responsibilities

• Assist all patients that report to the front desk
• Greet patients in a prompt, courteous and professional manner
• Interact with a diverse patient population
• Utilize the electronic medical record to maintain patient records via scanning or registration
• Attend appointments, collect copayments, and other necessary information at time of check-in
• Schedule follow up appointments and referrals as needed (check out)
• Answer incoming phone calls and direct appropriately to team members
