This role is for an Inbound Call Center Representative/Patient Access Representative I located in Skokie, IL. The position is initially onsite for the first 6 to 9 months, with the possibility of remote work after successful completion of training. The primary responsibility is to handle patient requests over the phone for multiple medical offices and hospital departments, ensuring correct workflows and protocols are followed. This includes collecting patient information, entering data into the EPIC electronic health record system, scheduling appointments and procedures, registering patients, verifying insurance eligibility, and informing patients of their financial responsibilities. The role also involves promoting key initiatives for the Patient Access Center and NorthShore, adhering to HIPAA guidelines, routing calls appropriately, and supporting departmental changes with flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
