About The Position

TEKsystems is looking to hire several Patient Schedulers for a large hospital in Indianapolis. The role begins with 6 weeks of onsite training in Indianapolis, after which it transitions to a fully remote position. This role involves handling a high volume of incoming calls, scheduling appointments, reinforcing policies, and communicating essential information to patients. Additionally, the position requires meticulous auditing and electronic documentation of patient and case information in a timely and accurate manner, often under pressure to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards. Effective communication with patients, peers, and superiors is crucial.

Requirements

High school diploma
2+ years of call center experience
Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex information in a clear and patient manner
Ability to have in-depth dialogue, conversations and explanations with members that can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature.
No jumpy tenures
Must be self-motivated and motivated to advance your career
Reliable transportation (for the initial onsite training period)

Responsibilities

Handle 60+ incoming calls daily.
Schedule appointments.
Follow and reinforce all policies for case scheduling.
Communicate information for each scheduled appointment.
Audit and complete electronic documentation of patient and case information in a timely manner.
Work under pressure to meet deadlines while maintaining a high degree of quality.
Communicate effectively and efficiently with patients, peers, and superiors on a daily basis.
