About The Position

The Patient Safety Technician provides direct patient care, focusing on Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and ensuring patient safety, particularly in sitter and spotter assignments. This role is crucial in preventing self-harm and elopements, making continuous rounds, and assisting patients with personal care needs. The technician also monitors intake and output, performs preventive skin care, and assists with feeding and linen changes as needed. This is a full-time night position (11 PM - 7 AM) at Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Centre.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in Patient Care.

Responsibilities

• Provides ADL's and protects Patients in Sitter and Spotter assignments from self-harm and prevent elopements.
• Makes continuous rounds.
• Assists with Activities of Daily Living.
• Assists with bathroom/ commode/incontinence care.
• Monitors Intake and Output.
• Performs preventive skin care, feeding mouth care, and changes bed linens when necessary.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
