About The Position
The Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care and assists patients with daily activities. This role supports nursing personnel and ensures a safe and supportive environment for patients and their families. The position involves performing continuous rounds, assisting with nourishment, maintaining patient comfort, and transporting patients within the facility. The Nursing Assistant also measures and records vital signs and provides basic treatments as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in acute care strongly preferred
- BLS certification
- Certified Nursing Assistant
Responsibilities
- Supports nursing personnel in providing direct patient care and assists patients with daily activities.
- Serves and collects food trays and provides between-meal nourishment.
- Changes bed linen, runs errands and prepares and sterilizes treatment trays and supplies.
- Transports patients within the facility for consultations, treatments, tests, or examinations.
- Measures and records patients' vital signs such as temperature or pulse and provides basic treatment.
- Ensures a safe care environment for the patients and their families.
- Performs continuous rounds and check-ins throughout the shift to ensure patient and family needs are met.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
