About The Position

The Patient Safety Representative will coordinate the initiation, leading, and follow-up of significant event reviews and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes. This role involves leading and/or providing guidance and education as needed, and overseeing and tracking the implementation of corrective action plans resulting from RCA processes. The representative will also assist and/or coordinate debriefing processes as needed.

Requirements

• Current Missouri Registered Nurse, LPN, Respiratory Care Practitioner, or Physical Therapy License. If RN/LPN and license is a compact status, it must be in the RN/LPN's state of residence.
• Previous years experience in risk management.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred Patient Safety or Risk Management Certification
• Degree/licensure in a clinical field, Risk Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
• National certification(s) such as: CPHRM (Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management), CPPS (Certified Professional in Patient Safety), or CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality).

Responsibilities

• Coordinates initiation, leading, and follow up significant event reviews and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes and lead and/or provide guidance and education as needed.
• Oversees and tracks the implementation of corrective action plans resulting from the RCA’s process.
• Assists and/or coordinates debriefing processes as needed.
