About The Position

The Patient Safety Attendant will be responsible for the direct care of patients, including tasks such as bathing, linen changes, monitoring vital signs, and glucose testing, as assigned by the nurse. This is a part-time position working days within the Float Pool at Freeman West.

Requirements

• Current Missouri CNA certification or must successfully complete Freeman UAP program within 90 days of hire
• Must successfully pass Patient Care Orientation (PCO) within 30 days of hire.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers within 60 days.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training Program (CPI) within 180 days.
• NT Competency Day annually by transcript due date.

Nice To Haves

• Current Missouri CNA license or documented proof of passing Missouri Dept of Health and Senior Services Certified Nurse Assessment Competency, upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Complete all care of the patient, including bathing, linen changes, monitoring of vital signs, glucose testing, and any other tasks as assigned by the nurse.
