About The Position
Assists in patient admission process, including orienting patients to their surroundings and explaining the operation of the television and phone. This position will perform/assist in patient observation for those patients who exhibit at-risk behaviors. The role requires the ability to remain calm in emergency situations.
Requirements
- Ability to stay calm in emergency situations.
Nice To Haves
- Patient care technician experience is preferred.
- Experience in a hospital environment is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist in patient admission process.
- Orient patient to surroundings including TV and phone operation.
- Report all changes in patient condition to clinician, primary or charge nurse on duty.
- Perform/assist in patient observation for those patients who exhibit at-risk behaviors.
- Maintain calmness in emergency situations.
