Patient Safety Attendant PRN

About The Position
Mountain View Hospital is seeking a Virtual Patient Safety Attendant to protect patients at risk for falls, injury, or self-harm. Working from a remote station, the attendant continuously monitors patients’ physical and emotional well-being and communicates concerns to the care team in real time, helping the team respond quickly and support patient safety. The attendant documents patient activity and changes clearly and accurately, safeguards confidential information, and works collaboratively with the healthcare team to foster compassion, respect, and teamwork. This position is listed as PRN.
Requirements
- Obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of the employment start date.
- Obtain Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 90 days of the employment start date.
Responsibilities
- Continuously observe patients to support their safety and well-being.
- Identify risks such as falls or self-harm and promptly alert the care team so it can intervene.
- Accurately and clearly document patient activity and changes throughout the shift.
- Safeguard confidential information and honor patient privacy.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to promote compassion, respect, and teamwork.
