About The Position

Patient Rooming Assistant needed for an Interventional Pain Practice located in Fitchburg, MA. As a Patient Rooming Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience by preparing examination rooms, assisting with patient intake, and supporting clinical staff during appointments. This position is ideal for individuals who are organized, compassionate, and thrive in a fast-paced medical environment.

Responsibilities

Open and close exam rooms as per daily schedule.
Ensure rooms are sanitized, stocked with necessary supplies, and organized.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of patient care areas.
Greet patients and escort them to exam rooms.
Obtain and record vital signs (e.g., temperature, blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturation) and update electronic health records (EHR).
Administer patient questionnaires and document responses.
Assist patients with completing necessary forms and paperwork.
Record patient data, including medications and medical history, in EHR.
Assist with scheduling appointments, tests, and procedures.
Support clinical staff during patient examinations and treatments.
Willingness to cross-train and assist in various clerical and clinical support areas, which may include but not limited to: Front Office: Check in/out patients, answer phones, verify insurance, schedule appointments, unpack office supplies. Procedure Room: Prepare room and patient, setup equipment, restock supplies, sterilize instruments.
