Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a certified Patient Care Assistant or Nursing Assistant training program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening as required by the employer.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- The Patient Care Assistant utilizes strong communication skills daily to interact compassionately with patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare team members.
- Attention to detail is critical when monitoring patient conditions and accurately recording vital signs to support clinical decision-making.

Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure, under the supervision of nursing staff.
- Provide mobility assistance, including helping patients move safely within the facility and positioning bedridden patients to prevent pressure ulcers.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in patient rooms and common areas to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to report patient status and any concerns promptly.
