This role serves as a liaison between the patient and clinical support staff. The position requires maintaining strict confidentiality, assisting patients with ambulatory difficulties, and following office scheduling policies. The Patient Representative will also collect payments, enter charges into the computer system, and register new patients. Additionally, they will answer telephones, screen calls, take messages, and convey information to appropriate parties. Maintaining a neat and orderly work area, advising the Practice Manager of front office issues, and attending educational and staff meetings are also key responsibilities. The role involves determining and inputting daily balances of charges and receipts, adhering to established policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations. A team-oriented approach to patient care and staff cooperation is essential for clinic efficiency and cohesion.
