About The Position

This position is responsible for the overall financial status of the Center’s residents. This includes but is not limited to eligibility of benefits, maintaining Medicaid eligibility and entering financial data into the Epic Billing System. This position requires knowledge of the Epic Billing System and the data elements necessary to produce an accurate claim for each client. This position has additional responsibilities in being the liaison between the facility and the Central Billing Office. Also, this position is responsible for the personal funds account of each resident. This includes approving disbursements from the account to ensure appropriate Medicaid, Social Security, State and facility guidelines are met. This Position Is Designated As Mandatory And Must Report Or Stay Over During Adverse Weather Events.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the Epic Billing System and the data elements necessary to produce an accurate claim for each client.
  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of federal, state and guarantor/payer practices, coverage, eligibility requirements, policy procedures and overall requirements.
  • Exercise judgement and discretion in interpreting policies and procedures, applying same, the ability to state these effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with other employees, general public, management and have skills for being able to communicate with clients and/or responsible parties.
