About The Position

This person assists Patient Relations by managing the complaint and grievance line for Saint Francis Hospital and provides administrative data entry and distribution support for regulatory data capture. The role contributes to the overall quality of care by treating all patients with respect and dignity. Responsibilities include prioritizing, planning, organizing, and managing the complaint line, documenting complaints and grievances in the patient relations module, and notifying managers timely to begin investigation and resolution. The coordinator also initiates the grievance initial letter acknowledging receipt to the sender or caller to meet CMS regulations for timeliness. Additionally, they provide administrative and clerical support to Quality, Patient Safety, Regulatory Affairs, and Patient Relations departments.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree and/or equivalent experience with data support and patient relations preferred.
  • Three (3) years’ experience providing superior administrative support and interpersonal interactions with staff and patients.
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal and written.
  • Implementation of communication skills in telephone and interpersonal conversations.
