About The Position

Integrated Rehabilitation Services is seeking a Patient Reimbursement Specialist to audit payments from commercial and workers compensation carriers for consistency with contracted fee schedules. This role involves following up with carriers to resolve underpayments, conducting inquiries for missing insurance payments, correcting and resubmitting denied claims, processing written appeals, and tracking denial/payment trends. The specialist will also communicate with staff and patients to resolve payment issues, answer billing questions, process patient credit card payments, perform data entry, verify personal and financial information, maintain patient charts and electronic medical records, collect, post, and deposit patient payments, and handle faxing, filing, and other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Excellent in-person and phone customer service
  • Proficient in Word or Excel
  • Close attention to detail
  • Great time management and organizational skills
  • Be available for a full-time schedule, Monday - Friday, 40 hour work week
  • Team player attitude and energetic with a focus on excellent customer service

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in a medical/physical therapy billing role is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
