About The Position

Under the direction and supervision of the Patient Registration Manager and in accordance with Hospital and Patient Registration Department policies and procedures, this role registers outpatients, admits, discharges, and transfers patients to all levels of care within the Finger Lakes Health system. The position involves interviewing all patients, processing pertinent demographic and financial information, and verifying insurance coverage. The role also determines and facilitates obtaining proper authorizations and pre-certifications required by insurance carrier guidelines. The individual must be knowledgeable of and adhere to all Finger Lakes Health and Patient Registration department policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
