About The Position
Hocking Valley Community Hospital (HVCH) is seeking a Patient Registration Clerk to join their Revenue Cycle Department. This PRN/Contingent position offers variable shifts and is focused on providing excellent patient service during the registration process. The role requires strong administrative and clerical skills, computer literacy, and excellent communication abilities. The hospital emphasizes a supportive, employee-first culture with a commitment to patient care and employee well-being.
Requirements
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) strongly preferred.
- One year previous medical office and patient registration experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology.
- Computer literacy, good typing skills is necessary.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Self-starter with the ability to adapt.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to function as a team player.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, now or in the future.
