About The Position

Hocking Valley Community Hospital (HVCH) is seeking a Patient Registration Clerk to join our supportive and hardworking team in the Revenue Cycle Department. This is a PRN/Contingent position with variable shifts. The role involves administrative and clerical duties related to patient registration, requiring computer literacy, good typing skills, and knowledge of administrative procedures. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent communication and team player abilities, and a strong understanding of customer service principles.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) strongly preferred.
  • One year previous medical office and patient registration experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology.
  • Computer literacy, good typing skills is necessary.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Self-starter with the ability to adapt.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to function as a team player.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, now or in the future.

  • Knowledgeable of insurance providers is a plus.
