Performs a variety of administrative and clerical duties to manage patient registration and patient financial obligation. This role involves obtaining demographic, billing, and insurance information from patients, entering it into registration/billing systems, and providing patients with information regarding insurance, bill payments, and hospital procedures. The position may also involve completing managed care responsibilities, preparing consent forms, collecting payments, preparing patient armbands, balancing cash drawers, initiating screenings, performing medical necessity checks, and scheduling/rescheduling appointments.
