Join our team as an Emergency Room Registrar (PRN) and play a vital role in ensuring patients receive timely, seamless care from the moment they walk through our doors. As an ER Registrar, you are the welcoming face of our emergency department. You’ll manage patient intake, handle critical administrative functions, and guide patients and families through the registration process with professionalism and empathy. While this is a non-clinical role, your impact is essential to the overall patient experience and operational flow of the ER.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to remain composed in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Customer service mindset with a compassionate approach
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion
- Collect and verify patient information for registration and admission
- Explain and assist with completion of intake forms and required documentation
- Validate insurance details and communicate coverage information clearly
- Manage patient records while maintaining strict confidentiality standards
- Handle incoming calls, maintain organized filing systems, and support front desk operations
- Collect payments and provide general assistance to patients and visitors
- Communicate wait times, policies, and procedures effectively
