Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Healthcare or similar registration experience preferred
Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, conflict resolution, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and remain calm and flexible in a high-stress, changing environment.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions while multitasking.
Ability to build effective relationships with patients, guests, and coworkers and become proficient in required hospital systems within six months of hire.
Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Perform reception, patient registration, and switchboard functions, including directing calls and paging physicians and staff.
Register outpatient and Emergency Department patients, collecting and accurately entering demographic and financial information into MediTech.
Assist patients and visitors with registration questions, hospital policies, financial responsibilities, and patient rights.
Identify the appropriate payer or revenue source and ensure required information is complete and accurate.
Follow established procedures for emergency notifications and overhead paging, and perform other duties as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.
