Explore this opportunity: Per Diem Patient Registrar - Radiology - Day Flex You will be responsible to schedule and confirm day-to-day appointments for a variety of Radiology exams using a computerized system, providing response to patients, preparing patients for their procedures, verifying insurance, requesting missing information, maintaining insurance data & adhering to healthcare unit policies. Register patients for a variety of procedures and appointments. Check-In at arrival. Receives calls through phone queue and also makes outgoing calls to referring facilities for faxed orders. Familiarity with radiology terminologies. Most importantly, you will be the calm and reassuring presence patients need as they navigate their hospital experience. This is a Per Diem day- flex position at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital located at 1980 Crompond Road, Cortlandt Manor, upper Westchester County, NY.

Requirements

  • At least one year of clerical experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Energetic, approachable individual with a desire to put patients first
  • Detailed oriented
  • Able to problem solve
  • Able to work independently
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to perform various registration duties on demand
  • Willingness to cover all areas as needed
  • Must live within a commutable distance to NYP

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of hospital procedures, routines, regulations and medical terminology
  • Familiarity with radiology terminologies
