About The Position

The Patient Placement Tech performs a variety to duties related to customer flow, registration, placement and bed assignment. Customer ages may include neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent required
• Must be 18 years of age or older to witness the signing of consent forms.
• Medical Terminology course
• Previous nursing assistant or patient placement experience required
• Proficient in the English language.
• EHR Navigation skills
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Interpersonal skills, and team building skills
• MS office experience
• Able to prioritize and escalate as necessary
• Customer service driven
• Self-directed
• Ability to manage multiple competing demands
• Ability to handle stressful situations and maintain composure in front of customers/visitors/staff.
• Demonstrated ability to transition from one area to another effectively

Nice To Haves

• Some college preferred.
• Healthcare experience or education preferred (i.e. HUC, NA, EMT, ED Tech, MHA)
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
