About The Position

Cottage Health seeks a Patient Navigator Lead for their CH Navigation Center department responsible for scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, reviewing/editing/obtaining pre-authorizations, and communicating directly with clinical staff/offices on pertinent patient information. This position serves as a primary resource for escalations in mitigating caller issues. Assists with employee onboarding and training as needed. Provides exceptional customer service and demonstrates dedication to the organization's mission, vision, and values.

Requirements

  • Minimum: Basic MS Word, Outlook and Excel skills
  • 35 wpm keyboard/typing speed
  • Minimum: 2 years of patient access, healthcare scheduling, or health insurance experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred: Associate's degree
  • Preferred: Certified Revenue Cycle Representative or Certified Patient Access Specialist (HBI)
  • Preferred: MS Office Suite
  • Experience working with Epic
  • Preferred: 4 years of patient registration, healthcare scheduling, or health insurance experience
