About The Position

Join our team as an evening shift, full-time, Patient Logistics Coordinator Paramedic in Tyler, TX. The Patient Logistics Coordinator Paramedic facilitates patient admissions within the Ardent Health system by conducting initial screenings based on approved clinical criteria to ensure compliance with hospital policies. Operating with moderate autonomy, they make protocol-driven decisions to support safe and efficient patient intake. The role involves rapid assessment of patient needs, sometimes in a field setting, coordination with EMS and transfer centers, and collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and hospital departments to optimize patient movement. Additionally, the coordinator works with hospital leadership to identify systemic barriers to throughput and contributes to improving patient flow and care transitions.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Current licensed Paramedic in the State of Residence (NREMT-P).
  • 3 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting.
  • Must be proficient in EMTALA.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of clinical experience in ED or Critical Care.
