Indiana Donor Network is a nationally recognized healthcare organization, serving as the crucial link between donors and patients awaiting life-saving organ transplants, healing tissue, and corneas that restore sight. As the state’s federally designated organ recovery organization and an accredited tissue bank, we are dedicated to making a profound impact on countless lives. The Import & Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing all organ offers to local transplant centers, and the logistics associated with the import process. In addition, the Import & Logistics Coordinator is responsible for all internal and external TxJet flight requests. This is a night shift position, working 8 am to 8 pm including two weekends per month. Responsibilities include: Managing import offers for heart, lungs, liver, pancreas, intestine and kidneys for local transplant centers Responding to offers within the OPTN guidelines Screening organ offers against established decline criteria Clearly presenting primary offers to local transplant centers Effectively communicating physician’s requests to host Organ Procurement Organizations (OPOs) Coordinating flight and ground transportation for import organs, INDN staff and transplant staff Arranging flyouts for organs, effectively coordinating appropriate timelines with transplant coordinators and transplant physicians involved Providing services to both internal and external customers in relation to TxJet requests This is a day shift position working a 12-hour schedule from 8:00 to 8:00. The days of the week rotate and require every other weekend, with three shifts one week and four shifts the next.
