Patient Liaison - Nursing Administration
About The Position
The Patient Placement Center Specialist supports care for Providence St Joseph Health (PSJH) patients by coordinating the patient intake process. Responsibilities include answering and triaging calls, verifying eligibility, facilitating inbound and outbound transfers, and ensuring accurate documentation. The Patient Liaison works with internal and external partners to coordinate timely patient transfers and help the team resolve complex, high-priority cases. This role supports all transfer center operations, including but not limited to the Southern, Northern, and Behavioral Health California Transfer Centers. Providence's centralized Transfer Center coordinates patient transfers across the organization's regional, divisional, and system healthcare network. Requirements
- Associate's Degree or equivalent education/experience
- 1-3 years of healthcare related experience
- 1 year Customer Service experience
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare related field
- 1 year Call Center experience
