About The Position

Ensures that all patients are correctly and efficiently registered for hospital services. Gathers and processes registration, billing, and related information from patients in Admissions, Outpatient, Radiology areas, and/or the Emergency Department. Verifies patient insurance coverage and benefits, reviews the registration process and flow with patients and families, and continually promotes a positive patient encounter as the Hospital’s first impression.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or a combination of relevant education and experience in lieu of a degree.
• Three years of experience in Patient Access.
• General experience with and knowledge of insurance requirements, insurance verification, and third-party billing.
• Three years of experience in a related role. Successful completion of a TUH/TUHS-sponsored training or internship program may be considered in lieu of experience.
