About The Position

Northwest Respiratory Services seeks a Patient Intake Specialist for its Eagan, Minnesota location. This role is the first point of contact for customers, providing empathetic and highly accurate communication to support their health and quality of life. Responsibilities include setting up orders, verifying insurance coverage, and building trust with customers over the phone. This is an onsite position.

Requirements

Understanding of HIPAA laws to handle confidential personal and medical information
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
Ability to be punctual and dependable with a stable work history
Ability to exercise good judgement on handling phone calls appropriately
Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Excellent telephone skills
Accurate typing skills

Responsibilities

Work with new customers to set up their initial equipment and supply orders
Multi-task to manage a high volume of calls and faxed orders in a timely and accurate manner
Maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers (branch manager, Nursing home staff, hospitals)
Work collaboratively with other Intake Specialists to ensure best practices are shared and the workload is completed
Gain knowledge in respiratory equipment and interpret to customers in a way they can understand
