About The Position

Thompson Healthcare & Sports Medicine (THSM) is seeking a Patient Intake Specialist to join their team. THSM has recently partnered with Atlantic Health Systems to expand its medical neighborhood and aims to provide high-quality treatment and care to help patients manage and alleviate pain. The practice offers a multi-disciplinary approach, integrating services such as Acupuncture, Chiropractic, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Massage Therapy, and Physical Medicine. THSM is looking for dedicated individuals passionate about improving patients' lives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer operation and navigation and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Word, Excel, etc.)

Nice To Haves

• Prior knowledge of in-network and out-of-network health insurances
• Prior use of Epic, EMR systems, scheduling software
• One or more years of experience in an office healthcare setting

Responsibilities

• Conduct full medical insurance verifications
• Input and validate new patient data
• Transfer patient and insurance data between systems
• Ensure accuracy and audit patient data
• Report trends impacting claims, authorizations, etc.
• Follow-up with referral sources for missing documentation
