About The Position

The Patient Services Coordinator is responsible for managing patient scheduling, coordinating intake processes, and providing administrative support within a Durable Medical Equipment (DME) setting. This role serves as a key point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and professional experience from initial referral through delivery coordination. The ideal candidate is highly organized, patient-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in a medical office, DME, or healthcare administrative role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide constructive feedback and training

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule patient appointments for evaluations, fittings, and deliveries
  • Manage inbound and outbound patient communication
  • Perform patient intake, including collecting insurance information, and required documentation
  • Accurately enter and maintain patient information in EMR systems
  • Monitor and manage workflow queues (WIPs), ensuring timely progression of patient orders
  • Conduct required patient outreach attempts in accordance with company policies
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions
  • Track patient orders and follow up on missing or incomplete information
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and healthcare regulations
  • Provide a gold standard of care to all patients
  • Assist with general office administrative tasks
  • Support special projects or operational initiatives as assigned
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and process improvement efforts
  • Provide backup support for other administrative roles as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned that support the mission and goals of the organization
