About The Position

This position involves scheduling procedures, verifying and inputting patient demographic and insurance/financial information, and creating new patient medical records to facilitate effective patient care delivery. The role also serves as a liaison to various stakeholders including referring physician offices, other outreach hospitals, patients, and patient family members, providing a single point of contact. The Patient Information Representative will also greet and prepare patients for physician consults. Saint Francis is a Catholic, not-for-profit Health system based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and is the largest private employer in Eastern Oklahoma with over 12,000 employees. The health system includes the 1,112-bed Saint Francis Hospital, hospitals in south Tulsa, Muskogee and Vinita, 110 Warren Clinic locations, a children's hospital, a level IV neonatal intensive care unit, a 168-bed heart hospital, and Tulsa's leading trauma and emergency center.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 6 months to 1 year related experience.
• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner.
• Ability to be detail-oriented as might be required in the examination of numerical data.

Responsibilities

• Schedules procedures according to established protocols including obtaining and documenting complete patient demographic and insurance/financial information.
• Confirms scheduled appointments.
• Creates new patient medical records.
• Prints and files reports and other correspondence according to established protocols.
• Serves as liaison to referring physician offices, other outreach hospitals, patients, and patient family members in an effort to provide a single point of contact.
• Greets and prepares patients for physician consults according to established protocols.
