About The Position

Powers Health is hiring a part-time Patient Guidance Attendant for valet services at Community Hospital in Munster, Indiana. The attendant greets patients and provides guest service and patient care as people enter and exit the facility. The role includes safely parking and retrieving vehicles, escorting and transporting guests, and helping patients reach their destinations on time. The attendant also expedites parking, secures vehicles, maintains the cleanliness of the area, and ensures wheelchairs and other necessary supplies are stocked. Available shifts are 5:30 a.m.–9:30 a.m., 11 a.m.–3 p.m., and 1 p.m.–5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with rotating Saturdays and holidays. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old and have held a driver's license for at least one year.
Must maintain a valid driver's license and a motor vehicle record that meets department requirements.
Must have valid vehicle insurance.
Ability to understand instructions and communicate with patients and staff.
Ability to speak, read, and write standard English and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small-group settings.

Nice To Haves

Ability to drive a manual-transmission vehicle.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and provide guest service and patient care to individuals entering and exiting the facility.

Know the different areas of the property and help patients arrive at their destinations on time.
Provide high-quality service while parking vehicles or escorting visitors to their desired locations.
Expedite parking and secure vehicles.
Maintain the overall cleanliness of the area.
Ensure the area is stocked with wheelchairs and other supplies needed to provide service.
