Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Patient Financial Services Representative to guide the client billing experience at Paradigm/Ridge Treatment Centers. The ideal candidate will possess strong medical administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of medical billing and patient financial responsibilities. In this role, you will serve as a vital link between patients and our clinical teams, ensuring accurate financial processing, insurance coordination, and exceptional customer service to support our clients’ treatment journey.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a medical office setting with a focus on financial services or billing support.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with healthcare billing procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, insurance providers, and team members.
  • Proficiency in office software applications and electronic health record systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting medical administrative functions within a mental health or behavioral health environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with financial inquiries related to their treatment plans, insurance coverage, and billing processes.
  • Verify patient insurance information and obtain pre-authorizations or referrals as needed to facilitate seamless billing procedures.
  • Prioritize and collect payments accurately and efficiently while maintaining compliance with privacy regulations and confidentiality standards.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure all necessary documentation is complete for billing purposes.
  • Maintain detailed records of patient accounts, payment histories, and insurance claims in our management system.
  • Follow up on outstanding balances or denied claims promptly (via email and by phone) to optimize revenue cycle management.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient concerns timely, professionally, and empathetically.
  • Escalate unresolved or high-risk accounts appropriately.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
