Inform Diagnostics is looking for an experienced Patient Financial Counselor who works well independently and supports their co-workers in running a successful revenue cycle and patient benefits department. The Patient Financial Counselor will interact with patients, insurance carriers, medical facilities, and providers daily to ensure seamless front-end benefits verification, coordination, and authorization process for all tests. The Counselor is responsible for providing excellent service by responding to questions from patients, clerical staff, and insurance companies, as well as identifying and resolving patient billing complaints. Qualified candidates must be able to review accounts for billing accuracy to maximize reimbursement. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail with the aptitude to learn our medical billing and collections process, specifically eligibility verification and prior authorization processes. The Counselor is responsible for the work required to research and resolve front-end errors. The mission of the Counselor is to provide excellent customer service and perform a wide variety of complex patient benefits investigation, coordination, and billing duties.
