About The Position

UPMC Children's Hospital is seeking a full-time Patient & Family Concierge for its Pediatric ICU. The role provides generalized, compassionate service and support to patients, families, and visitors during their hospital stay. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are required. The final candidate will be placed in the appropriate title and pay rate based on experience and education. The starting rate of pay for a Patient & Family Concierge is $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or one year of previous job experience in lieu of a high school diploma or GED.
• Clearances 31, 33, 34, and 73, with renewal.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, families, and visitors, help them reach their destinations, and maintain confidentiality.
• Provide information about hospital policies, visiting hours, directions, and related matters.
• Track patient belongings and handle parking validations, scooters, and meal tray delivery.
• Clean and organize patient rooms, public areas, and other spaces; replenish supplies and report maintenance needs.
• Manage and organize supplies, deliver materials to units, and monitor inventory and expiration dates.
• Answer phones and respond to patient call lights.
