About The Position

UPMC Presbyterian Hospital is hiring a full-time Patient & Family Concierge for its Neuro Trauma Unit 8G. The role supports patients, families, and clinical staff through bedside, stocking, and administrative tasks, helping create a smooth and compassionate hospital experience from arrival through discharge. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Starting pay is $19.00 per hour; final title and rate depend on experience and education. The position does not involve clinical tasks such as bathing, mobility assistance, or administering medical care.

Requirements

• High school diploma, active enrollment in a high school or GED program, or one year of previous work experience in lieu of a diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated compassion, enthusiasm, and a strong desire to provide an exceptional experience for patients and families.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Act 34 clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Previous healthcare or customer service experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients and visitors.
• Assist with patient transportation and meal delivery.
• Replenish supplies.
• Maintain clean, organized spaces and report maintenance needs.
• Answer phones and respond to call lights.
• Provide non-clinical assistance.
