About The Position

The Patient and Family Concierge supports the patient and family experience at UPMC Passavant on the 5 South Neurosurgical Unit. The role may involve destination coordination, environmental services, patient and equipment transportation, supply and equipment management, and patient care support. The position is full-time, 36 hours per week, with weekend and holiday requirements and primarily scheduled from 6:30 AM to 7 PM. Title and salary are based on education and experience. Requirements

Must have the desire, drive, and compassion to provide an exceptional patient and family experience at all times.
High school diploma, active enrollment in a high school/GED program, or one year of previous job experience in lieu of a high school diploma/GED.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Act 34 clearance.
Work permit if under 18.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in health care or customer service is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist hospital guests; provide directions and information.
Use computers to access patient information while maintaining confidentiality.
Clean assigned areas, remove trash, make beds, and ensure cleanliness.
Report issues to the supervisor.
Safely transport patients and equipment.
Deliver supplies and record transportation data; report activities to the manager.
Order and organize supplies, maintain inventory, check expiration dates, and monitor and stock patient and supply areas.
Respond to call lights and assist patients.
Round hourly and distribute care plans.
Perform audits and update bulletin boards.
Follow mandatory reporting procedures.
