About The Position

The Patient Experience Specialist provides customer service through accurate patient registration and front-desk operations across South Central OB/GYN clinic locations. The primary work location is the Ellisville clinic, with possible assistance at other SCC OB/GYN clinics as needed. The role involves supporting patients and families in person and by phone, including registration, insurance verification, payment collection, appointment coordination, and maintenance of patient records.

Responsibilities

Schedule appointments and register, check in, and check out patients.
Verify and update patient demographics in Epic.
Verify insurance and obtain required documentation.
Collect photo identification and patient payments, including co-pays, OB deposits, surgical deposits, and bad debt balances.
Post charges and payments accurately.
Manage the daily cash drawer and balancing reports.
Answer incoming calls and provide appointment reminders.
Obtain forms; scan medical records and signed documents into patient charts; and fax medical records as needed.
Maintain an organized work environment and prioritize daily tasks effectively.
Collaborate positively with team members while maintaining HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
Adhere to facility policies and procedures and perform additional duties as assigned by management.
