About The Position

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health is the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 20 years, integrating clinical care with existing community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC’s), The George Washington University Hospital, and our Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. This integrated delivery system is a robust network of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it ensures that residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community. This full-service hospital includes 136 beds (with the ability to expand to 184 beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and newborn delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for clinic visits and other outpatient services, a 500-car garage, and a helipad for emergency transport. We are seeking an experienced Patient Experience Coordinator - Quality Assurance (Full Time). The Patient Experience Coordinator supports the delivery of exceptional patient-centered care by assisting in the coordination, implementation, and evaluation of patient experience initiatives across Cedar Hill. This role partners closely with clinical and operational leaders to identify opportunities for improvement, support service excellence programs, and enhance patient satisfaction outcomes. The coordinator serves as a key resource for patient experience data tracking, frontline staff support, and implementation of evidence-based service excellence practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience in healthcare, acute care setting, patient experience, quality, or service excellence required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with patient satisfaction metrics (e.g., CAHPS) preferred
  • CPXP certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and coordination of patient experience and service excellence initiatives across the hospital.
  • Monitor, track, and analyze patient experience data, trends, and feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with clinical and operational leaders to develop and implement strategies that improve patient satisfaction and engagement.
  • Serve as a resource to frontline staff by providing guidance, education, and support related to patient-centered care practices.
  • Assist with patient rounding, service recovery efforts, and follow-up on patient concerns to promote positive care experiences.
  • Support the evaluation of patient experience programs and help ensure continuous improvement and alignment with organizational goals.
